3/12/08 - The Dead Must Go

This three-minute video is my first collaboration with photographer Doug Sanders -- I came up with the story and script, Doug took care of the cinematography, we co-edited.  To really "get" this short, you need to know it was created as  a submission for George Romero's "do-it-yourself-zombie-movie" promotional contest for his film Diary of the Dead

The Dead Must Go

1/18/08 - Read by Dawn Volume 3 will feature my short works "Keeping someone", "Swept Away", and "Treats"

Behind the Walls.jpg (7324 bytes)12/6/07 - The story "Behind the Walls" is now available for free viewing at Ideomancer.

11/3/07 - CARCASS has been unleashed! I'm proud to present the first film short from Reed-Lewis-Minier Productions, shot with little money but much love (as well as a small amount of fake blood and a fair amount of KY Jelly):

10/8/07 - Just received word that Chiascuro has accepted three more of my poems for publication - "Licking a Public Restroom Floor", "Texture Non gratis", and "Meth Beauty Queen".  Will be published over the next year.

chizine1.gif (3639 bytes)10/8/07 - My poem "Evidence (of her passing)" is now available at Chizine

9/5/07 - Read by Dawn Volume. 1 (featuring "Stuck") and Volume 2 (featuring "Falling Stars") are featured in end-of-aisle promotions for all of September in Borders and Books Etc. in the UK.

deathgrip_cinemasm.gif (15443 bytes)6/9/07 - "Slasher" is now available for free viewing in the Fiction Archives.  I've also posted the Introduction to the story from its publication in the movie-themed anthology Deathgrip 3: It Came From the Cinema, though I've included it at the end of story (just to be contrary).

5/30/07 - I'm now on MySpace - won't you come be my Friend? (Seriously, be my Friend - I've only got like 3, it's really kinda pathetic)

5/4/07 - My feature film script The Little Room Above finished as a Semi-Finalist  in the Horror/Thriller category of the 2006 Screenplay Festival contest.

chizine1.gif (3639 bytes)4/10/07 -  The poem "He brings" was published in  Issue #32 (4/7 - 6/07) of Chizine.  ("Evidence (of her passing)" will be available later this year.)

11/8/06 - HELLNOTES has published a fairly glowing review of Read by Dawn, Volume 1.  Reviewer Nickolas Cook specifically mentioned "Stuck" as "a particularly well-written piece, subtle and heart wrenching, even to the bloody end."

readbydawn.jpg (6500 bytes)9/1/06 - My story  "Stuck" appears in the anthology Read by Dawn,  Volume 1.  This anthology, curated by Adele Hartley and hosted by Ramsey Campbell, commemorates the 13th annual Dead by Dawn Convention (Scotland's International Horror Film Festival).

From Ramsey Campbell's Introduction:  "The unlucky central character of Sam's Minier's 'Stuck' is plagued by nocturnal regrets and unhappy replays of her life.  Those are traps in themselves, but there's a physical one to exacerbate matters, and her escape proves more hideous than her plight."

"The novelist is, after all, God's liar, and if he does his job well, keeps his head and his courage, he can sometimes find the truth that lives at the center of the lie." - Stephen King
